DoubleVision Pro is available in varying archive formats based on the supported operating system. DoubleVision Pro installers can be downloaded in TAR, SHAR and RPM format depending on your operating system. Installation instructions for each format are available below.

RPM Installation Instructions for Linux

DoubleVision Pro for Linux is now available for download in RPM format. You can visit our DoubleVision Pro download registration page to request an installer for your platform.

DoubleVision Pro for Linux

In the download link email, look for the DoubleVision Pro RPM download link with the naming scheme to match DoubleVisionPro-X.Y-ZZ.i386.rpm.

Click on the link or point your browser to the the RPM link. At which point you can select to save the file or to open it with your server Software Package Manager.

If you chose to save the file, issue the following command as root to install DoubleVision Pro:

# rpm -ivh DoubleVisionPro-X.Y-ZZ.i386.rpm (Substitute version for X.Y-ZZ)

To remove DoubleVision Pro, you can issue the following command :

# rpm -e DoubleVisionPro

SHAR Installation Instructions

DoubleVision Pro is now available for download in shar (shell archive) format. Please follow the instructions below to complete the DoubleVision Pro installation.

To install from the command line perform the following steps:

1. su to root user
2. Type sh ./dvpro-platform.shar      (platform = aix | hpux | sco | solaris-sparc | linux)
3. Follow the on-screen instructions.

To install from a brower perform the following steps :

1. Right click on the link and select : “Save target as”
2. Open a command line session and su to the root user
3. cd to the directory where you downloaded DoubleVision Pro
4. Type sh ./dvpro-platform.shar     (platform = aix | hpux | solaris-sparc | linux)
5. Follow the on-screen instructions.

TAR Installation Instructions

DoubleVision Pro is available for download in tar archive format. Please follow the instructions below to complete the DoubleVision Pro installation.

To install from the command line perform the following steps:

1. Download the DoubleVision Pro TAR file installer to /tmp on your system
2. Open a command line session and su to the root user
3. Type cd /tmp
4. Type tar xvf ./dvpro-platform.tar      (platform = aix | hpux | solaris-sparc | linux)
5. Type ./install-dvpro to begin the installation
6. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation.
